After incubating for most of 2016; testing fabrics, construction and products using most of our founder’s savings, we secured two rounds of seed investment in January and February 2017.
This allowed us to be more ambitious in our product development and plan for an increase in our brand exposure. We knew what we wanted to create. First – make our products even better, and second – make it be known that Purpose is centred around making the most comfortable products for the humid climate of South East Asia.

The final fabrics and construction which we chose on the official release, was a vast improvement from when we were testing the initial iterations in 2016. The fabrics are more technical and superior than it’s 2016 predecessors, and the models within the Team, Ambition, Victory and Flow series also had different construction applied to it.
We deepened our product philosophies, brought them closer to Purpose’s brand ideology and experimented with constructing jerseys and triathlon suits to match the desire and purpose for that level – Purpose Team for club, team or beginners; Purpose Ambition for Training; Purpose Victory for Race-day Performance; and Purpose Flow for the expert or advanced athletes seeking to individualised him or herself.
